Main Port Fire Station at Fort Lewis, WA
This MZT project was the design and construction of a new 11,080 square foot, 2-company Main Post Fire Station at Fort Lewis, WA for the US Army Corps of Engineers. The civil work for the project included, site grading and preparation, site utilities, paving, concrete approach aprons, curbs and sidewalks, and the building construction to provide a complete and useable facility. The design of the building included masonry exterior walls with a non-structural standing seam roof. The interior of the building was designed with metal stud wall system with a combination of VCT and carpet flooring. The building included office and living areas for the fire crews along with a 3-truck apparatus bay.
