Wastewater Treatment Upgrade Fort Irwin, CA
This project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) provided critical upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant at Fort Irwin. MZT constructed 16,000-LF of 4” to 24” Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) recycled waterline, complete with ductile iron fittings, thrust blocks, valves, valve vaults, and cathodic protection at two flow equalization basins and junction boxes. We constructed a new influent pump station, flash mix pump station, flocculation tank, chlorine contact tank, recycled water pump station, reject water pump station, and electrical building.
This project required MZT to coordinate closely with the project Owner. The extent of the work required temporarily closures of the plant. We coordinated all outages with the Owner and end-users to minimize disruption to service needs for this critical wastewater treatment plant infrastructure. |
